MemoQ segmentation issue (unwanted segment split)


Problem:


MemoQ splits XXX Company K.S.C. (Closed) into two Translation Units (TUs) as follows:


TU1: XXX Company K.S.C.
TU2: (Closed)

Traditional solution:


Use MemoQ "Join" function (Ctrl+J)

Smart solution:


1. Add abbreviation:


2. Delete this item "(":


3. Delete this item ")":


Note: you can use the same rule to solve similar issued by adding whatever abbreviations you want such as (W.L.L. - Ltd. - J.S.C. - O.S.C. if such abbreviations are followed by "(any word)" and you do not want MemoQ to split it).
